Who doesn't love a no bake delicious dessert!
Ingredients
- 500g custard apple pulp
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 tablespoon gelatine
- 250ml milk
- 6 teaspoons sugar
- 250ml whipping cream
- pinch salt
- 4 teaspoons semi-sweet biscuit crumbs
Method
- Cut the custard apple, remove seeds, blend.
- Mix gelatine, sugar and salt. Beat egg yolks with the milk and add the custard apple pulp. Put in a double boiler or saucepan, mix in gelatine and heat over boiling water stirring until gelatine is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and cool.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them into the gelatine mixture. Then fold in the whipped cream. Pour into a baking paper lined loaf tin and sprinkle half the biscuit crumbs on top.
- Chill until firm (a few hours) unmould onto serving dish and sprinkle remaining crumbs over.
- Add fresh berries or dried fruit slice as an optional garnish
