Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup custard apple pulp
Options to try:
- 750g custard apples pulp
- 3 cups chopped onion
- 3 lemons, grated and juices
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup raisins
- ½ cup currents
- 2 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 2 teaspoon allspice
- ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 cups apple cider vinegar
Method
- In a heavy based saucepan, combine the custard apple with chopped onion.
- Peel the lemons with a vegetable peeler to make fine strips. Add custard apple mixture along with the juice and pulp of the lemons (seeds removed) and all the remaining ingredients.
- Bring mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and simmer for approximately 1 hour, stirring occasionally to make sure the mixture doesn’t burn.
- When liquid has evaporated and mixture has a glazed look it will be ready for bottling.
